Comments about Annotations

Hello All,
First off, I’d like to thank Jim Groom for working so hard to get the poems for the annotations posted so we could use them to present on our explications. Thank you for all your hard work!
Secondly, I went through the poems and noticed that because of WordPress’ lovely coding, linebreaks don’t work. So what I will do is use the good old quoting method to separate the stanzas. Between separate stanzas you will see “/” to indicate a break. Tonight I’m going to go through the poems and make sure the line breaks and grammar match our Library of America edition so that it won’t be off when anyone goes to annotate.

Hi Jamie,
Should I be able to see my poem somewhere on the site? I haven’t been able to find the list or figure out how to access it.

Hi Lisa — your classes poems can be found here:
http://notes.lookingforwhitman.org. Just click on the title of the poem and enter your annotations as comments in the right hand sidebar.
Jamie — did you try using the HTML tab rather than the visual editor while editing those posts? That might help.

I did try the HTML tab, but the line break codes don’t work. I’ve looked around and it just seems to be a feature of some of the themes. It could be part of the DigressIt theme. I’m not worried, it won’t be a big deal.

UPDATE: The poems have been corrected to include stanza breaks and all of the linebreaks have been adjusted to mimic those in the Library of America edition.
If you find any problems with your text, please let me know and I’ll update it ASAP
